Description

This position supports the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of an enterprise wide Corporate Information Security Program that ensures the integrity, confidentiality and availability of corporate information assets. This includes assisting in the development of the appropriate security policies, procedures and business/technical infrastructure, ensuring the proper measures are implemented to safeguard the corporate information assets and processing resources of the Corporation. This position supports activities needed to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance (i.e. HIPAA, SOX, and SAS 70) from an Information Security perspective.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in Information Security (technical, operational and administrative) practices, HIPAA Security regulations and IT Infrastructure Technology 
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Lotus Notes and Internet  
  •  Basic proficiency in MS Access, Project Management and Visio
  •  Project management skills 
  •  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minor supervision 
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with daily work processing deadlines 
  • High degree of business maturity and demonstrated confidentiality

Experience

  • Associates Degree Required
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience required. 
  • 1 years work experience in an Information Systems environment required

Working Conditions

 

Must be able to work in an office environment Must have ability and access to work from remote location such as home Manual Dexterity Req: Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to effectively use a computer with all its components for prolonged periods of time and for the majority of required tasks Manual Dexterity Req: Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to effectively utilize various office equipment (phone, computer, fax machine, printer, copier, filing cabinet, etc) Physical Effort: Minimum; typical of most office work.
